Research Interests
My current research focuses on rare-event physics experiments (eg. dark matter direct detection, neutrinoless double beta decay) and related detection technologies in ultro-low background environment and their applications. I'm now working on China Dark matter Experiment (CDEX) carried out in China Jinping Underground Laboratory (CJPL) with high purity germanium detectors.
Apart from dark matter detection and neutrinoless double beta decay experiments in CJPL, I am also advancing a reactor neutrino experiment: RECODE project (Reactor neutrino COherent scanning Detection Experiment), which uses two sets of high-purity germanium arrays to jointly measure and accurately measure the CEvNS process of reactor neutrino. RECODE will be located at the Sanmen nuclear power plant in Zhejiang, China. The high-purity germanium technology used comes from the PPC germanium detector technology developed by CDEX in dark matter experiments. The PPCGe has significant advantages such as low energy threshold, low background, and good long-term stability et. al., which key performance parameters have been confirmed and tested in CDEX's long-term dark matter experiments.
